| Challenges |
- Give a neglected facade of house a more attractive, updated look that fits with the streetscape.

| Solutions |
|
As the first phase to an overall house renovation, the original, fake brick
facade was removed and replaced with attractive stucco. A well-proportioned
larger window replaced the old aluminum one. The facade was detailed with
ceramic tiles and a window box with an integrated drip water system. In
keeping with "green" building practices of reduce/recycle/reuse, the original
front door was sanded down, refinished and reused. Plantings soften the
overall effect.
