| Who we are |
We are Rebecca Schnier Architecture, an award winning Bay Area architectural
firm known for our attentiveness to clients' needs and for the quality and
uniqueness of our design work. We strive for an architecture that is thoughtful,
purposeful and artistic. We specialize in contemporary design with an eye
towards timeless elegance and historic building traditions.
| What we do |
We enjoy designing places that are based on our clients' visions for beautiful
and functional buildings, tailored to their budget. Clients with various interests
and different needs keep the design process exciting for us, and inspire us to
develop an ever-growing range of architectural expression.
With good listening, responsive planning and a close working relationship with
our clients, we are able to create designs that work and make the process of
building or remodeling as stress-free as possible. In every project, we intend
to provide service of the highest quality and leadership through the design and
construction phases.
We are dedicated to being good stewards of the Earth; we emphasize sustainability
in all facets of our work and practice. We seek design solutions that are responsive
to the site by incorporating the surrounding environmental and climatic concerns -
whether your project is situated in a rural or urban setting.

| Why a small firm? |
As a small firm with low overhead, RSA takes on a limited number of jobs at
any one time, which means we can afford to remain intimately involved as the
lead designers and project managers throughout the design and construction
phase of the project. Rebecca Schnier is the lead designer of all projects,
and as the principal of the firm, she is accountable to all clients. That
means faster results and a more direct line of communication. At a larger
firm, the person you interview for the job may not end up having much to do
with the project.
